Scope and content
Item consists of John A. Crosby's bird sighting records dating from March 16, 1940-December 30, 1940. These sightings are recorded on printed sheets listing the species of birds native to Ontario. The information recorded includes the time of day, members of the observation party, the location, the date, and observations about the weather, in addition to the birds sighted and the total species spotted on each expedition. There is also an index, created in 1944 by Shirley Kennedy, listing the species that Crosby observed and where they might be found in this collection.
