The fonds documents Paul James Dwyer's activities as a dancer, choreographer, and writer. Records consist mainly of correspondence and subject files relating to various dance companies such as Dance Oremus Danse and the Isadora Duncan School of Modern Dance. Also included are dance programmes, Dwyer's published articles and photographs of colleagues such as Jeanne Bresciani, Lori Belliveau, and Anita Zhan. There are video recordings of interviews and dance performances.
