Fonds consists of seven volumes of Elliott’s field notebooks, and one letter From A.F. Kimball. Elliot’s notebooks are arranged chronologically, and they give details about weather conditions, bird species that were observed, and some bird behaviour. They also contain poems, some pressed flowers and plants, and lists of species collected by others. In volume 7, there is a note written by J.L.B. (August 8, 1954) stating that there was a notebook subsequent to this volume that was never received. The letter from A.F. Kimball is in regards to Kimball’s request that Elliott help expand his collection of bird specimens.
