Biographical history

Borden Street School was built in 1913 and was located on Borden Street in Prince Rupert, BC. It was an elementary school but part of the building was occupied by high school classes. The first high school class graduated from Borden Street School in 1917. The school was demolished in 1956.

Custodial history

The School registers had been stored at Roosevelt School were donated by Arne Lien of School District 52. Carole Rugg of School District 52 donated annual reports for schools on July 23, 1985.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of student registers (January 1913-1956) of Borden Street School, minutes of the Borden Street School staff (1944-1945) and annual reports of schools from 1932, 1935, 1936, 1939, and 1942-1945.
