Scope and content
Series consists of documents concerning The Crowe Affair, a controversial case at United College in which a professor was dismissed over a letter he wrote to a colleague. Documents include papers, reports, and statements made during and after the official investigation; media, correspondence, and notes from the College related to the controversy and the student & faculty reactions; correspondence about the events, mostly conducted by the Dean of Residence Alf Longman; newspaper clippings gathered that mention the case; and several student papers. Series is arranged among two boxes into files sorted by documentary category.
