Custodial history

Scope and content

This collection consists of an unidentified Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, store ledger (1857-1858) and three photographs of the buildings at the corner of Kent and Queen Streets (ca. 1880-1890). The merchandise recorded in the Charlottetown store ledger was mainly loaves, molasses, flour, sugar, onions, tea, eggs and matches. Regular customers of the store included W. H. Pope, T. H. Haviland, Admiral Bayfield, Doctor Stratton and Gov. Daly. All three of the photographs include some part of the A. N. Large business located on the corner of Kent and Queen Streets. Some individuals in the photographs are identified.
