Health Sciences Centre Archives/Museum
The HSC Archives/Museum is part of Organizational Engagement. The Archivist also reports to the Heritage Committee which is made up of representatives from the Alumni Association, Children's Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, Faculty of Medicine Archives and Faculty of Nursing University of Manitoba.
The Archives collects non-medical records and artifacts from Winnipeg General Hospital; Children's Hospital of Winnipeg; Manitoba Rehabilitation Hospital - D.A. Stewart Centre; Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing; Health Sciences Centre School of Nursing; Children's Hospital School of Nursing and the Nurses' Alumni Association of the Winnipeg General Hospital/Health Sciences Centre.
The Archives is open Tuesday to Friday 8:00 to 4:00 by appointment only. It is closed on weekends and civic holidays.
The Archives is wheelchair accessible from the West entrance of the Isabel M. Stewart building (700 McDermot Avenue)
Scans and photocopies will be assessed on a case by case basis and done by the Archivist. It is requested that a donation is made to the HSC Archives/Museum Endowment fund in lieu of payment for services.
A small museum is available for the public to enjoy in the reading room of the archives.
