Biographical history
William Thomas Howe married Mary Ann Donald on 24 June 1862, and they resided at Penniac in the parish of Saint Mary's, York County, New Brunswick for the rest of their lives. William and Mary Ann Howe had four children: Sarah Esther (1862-1902), Minnie (b. 1864), William Alexander (1869-1873), and James Watson (1867-1965). Sarah Howe and Minnie Howe married into the Boyd and Sansom families respectively.
Custodial history
This Bible was passed down through the family over several generations with the last owner being E. W. Sansom, the son of Minnie Howe Sansom.
Scope and content
This Bible was published in Philadelphia in 1872 and was acquired by the Howes, possibly after the death of their son William Alexander in 1873. It contains genealogical information on members of the Howe, Boyd, and Sansom families, specifically dates of births, deaths, and marriages. The first entry was dated 1862, and the last, 1965.
