Demchuk and Evasiuk family fonds

The fonds consists of Alberta provincial business licenses dated 1941-1979 (not complete); Town of Athabasca business licenses dated 1978-2007; bicycle sales records for 1956-1958, 1963-1976; and account books for July, 1937 to December, 2002. The photographs include Nick and Nettie's wedding, their children Gail and David, their house, Lena Demchuk's 102 birthday party in 1996, and Elizabeth Sieminski (Demchuk). The artifacts are a small red plastic piggy bank labelled "Mike's Store", two oil paintings by Nick and Nettie Evasiuk, a pair of Sealtred plastic overshoes in their box, a pair of Trramps black leather laced boots in their box, a men's Monarch Knit hose box, and a tube of Ampollina Dye. There is also a book entitled "Athabasca and the world, environmental verses" by Nick Evasiuk, 1989 and a photograph of Nick and his friend, George Ryga, taken in Mexico in 1980.

The fonds consists of materials created or collected by Dorothy Chartrand of St. Albert and dating from 1905 and 1998. The fonds consists of a photograph of the Bellerose Livery in the Town of Athabasca and a recording of an oral history of the Bellerose family's experiences in Athabasca conducted with Mrs. Chartrand in 1998 by Athabasca Archives archivist Marilyn Mol.

The fonds consists of photographs of the Town of Athabasca, Athabasca Agriculture Society parades for the years: 1988, 1989, 1994, 1998; Canada Day 1998; Cornwall Place, the 1995 postal dog team run commemorating Edmonton's bicentennial, and the Loutit Memorial Cycl-a-thon of June 1, 1996. A copy of The Western Producer's supplement Western People has an article on Jerry Gauthier a.k.a. "The Mad Trapper" from Plamondon. There is also a copy of each of the childrens books. Proceeds from "Basky" benefit the Athabasca Heritage Society; related correspondence is included.

The fonds consists of family history compiled by Jim Martin, and letters sent to and from the Doty and Martin families. The neighbours with whom they corresonded are John and Michael Angelo, George and Mary Sauer, Tom Plumley, Mrs. E. O'Neal and Mrs. R. Whiteley. The photographs include subjects: fishing at Flat Creek, Doty homestead, and maps of the Doty homestead and nearby settlement.

There are 51 photographs of Athabasca Pottery Discovery Day, June 21, 2009 which include photographs of Conrad Biernacki, program manager, and Brian Musselwhite, assistant curator, Royal Ontario Museum; Cathy Roy and Lucie Heins, Royal Alberta Museum; Carrie-Ann Lunde, Alberta Museums Association; Alfred Messerli, potter; Andreas Bayer, Honorary Consul for Switzerland; Marilyn Mol, Athabasca Archives; Gene and Gail Sabo, Terry (Knittle) Rains, Bob and Carole Tannas, Ed Pohranychny, Dorothy Nielsen, and Rosie Guay as well as audience members.

The fonds consists of a photograph of Dr. Boulanger and an article which mentions the following names: M.Jeffries, Bishop Young, Father Beaudry, Leslie Wood, Russell Bannerman, Jock Keith, Jim Wood, Joseph Cousineau (butcher), Isaie Gagnon, Napoleon Gagnon, P.Bellerose, Jack Secord and the Russell Brothers, Jack Lessard and August L'Hirondelle, J.L.Cote, Captain C.D.A.Barber, and James Cornwall. The poem written in Dec. 1907 by Max Pelluet was presented at Dr. Boulanger's departure from Athabasca. Another photo shows Dr. Boulanger in Jasper in 1942.

The fonds consists of 1 audio cassette recorded in 2001, 4 Depression glass plates, a plaque from the Trail North Foundation naming Dr. Brown Deputy Trail Master, 1980; a vase purchased from Mrs. George Kasper Johnson and a 1978 Athabasca dollar (a souvenir of the May 27-29, 1978 trip to the Grande Rapids). Added in 2005 is a booklet and a plaque naming Dr. Brown as one of the 100 Physicians of the Century in Alberta. There is a framed photograph of Dr. Brown while she was in practise and photos taken at the 2005 award ceremony.

The Dupilka family fonds

The fonds consists of photographs depicting farm life, water drilling, a brush cutter, logging, homes and family groups. There is a programme for the Master Farm Family award, 1965, which was given to the Mike Dupilka family. Fonds also includes a copy of a cancelled cheque given to Josephine Dupilka for caretaking at Baptiste Lake School in 1927.
