This fonds documents the professional career of civil engineer Henry George Clopper Ketchum, particularly with respect to the building of railway lines in Canada and Brazil and the construction of the Chignecto Ship Railway. It also contains biographical information about him as well as business records pertaining to a general store presumably operated by members of the Ketchum family at Fredericton.

It includes incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, minutes, specifications, estimates, contracts, schedules, maps, surveys, plans, blueprints, photographs and negatives. It also includes papers on engineering subjects, engineering notes, diagrams, essays, and articles and newspaper clippings about the Chignecto Ship Railway.

The fonds consists of records created and collected by Harry B. Hawthorn in a number of different capacities: as researcher, professor, Dean of Anthropology and Director of the Museum of Anthropology. Textual records in the fonds include correspondence, transcripts, research notes and clippings from publications. Much of the graphic materials relate to Harry Hawthorn’s interactions with aboriginal communities as an anthropologist, a professor, and as the Director of MOA. Other images relate to his personal life, documenting his youth in New Zealand, his life as a father and anthropologist, and his later established professional roles.

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used primarily by George Rayner of Carievale, Saskatchewan and Jessie Halkyard (later Rayner) of Carnduff, Saskatchewan. The fonds includes correspondence written between Rayner and Halkyard during their courtship and engagement (1942-1949), military records belonging to Rayner during his service in the Second World War, and correspondence and other records accumulated during the Rayners' married life. It also includes records of members of the Halkyard and Rayner families. Subject matter of the photographs includes: portraits, likely of members of the Rayner and Halkyard families; a railway bridge at Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, prairie landscape with a townsite in the distance; an industrial site; a parade; the Calgary Zoo; and the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool head office in Regina, Saskatchewan and its surrounding businesses.

College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan fonds

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and members of its Council. The majority of the records date from the years 1959 to 1965 and relate to the College's objection to the Government of Saskatchewan's Medical Care Insurance Act passed in 1961 and to the subsequent withdrawal of services by
the majority of members of the College in July 1962, known commonly as the Doctors' Strike. Records also relate to the involvement of the College in the Government-commissioned Advisory Planning Committee on Medical Care. Records include those created, accumulated and used by Dr. H.D. Dalgliesh, president of the College during this period, Dr. E.W. Barootes, member of Council appointed by the College to the Advisory Planning Committee on Medical Care, and Dr. G.W. Peacock, the College's registrar.

Records in the fonds also relate to a project by the College's Archives Committee that researched pioneer doctors, doctors of the North-West Mounted Police and doctors involved in the North-West Rebellion. Key researchers for this project were Drs. J.A. Valens and J.B. Ritchie.

Also included are registers and mailing lists of all doctors in the province of Saskatchewan, and issues of the Saskatchewan Medical Quarterly.

Fonds consists of 50 photographs of horse teams and farming, and unidentified portraits. The portraits were taken by various photographers primarily located in Orillia, Ontario. Also included in the fonds is a Grand Dominion & Industrial Exhibition ticket (1887); a J. McLauchlan & Sons advertisement for cream soda (19--?); a postcard of Victoria Harbour, Lamber Co's Office; and a hand coloured postcard of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales on the 1st Anniversary of his visit to Canada in 1919.
