Includes records of companies previously acquired by Madison: Karjan Resources Ltd., Nimus Resources Ltd., and Spartex Oil Resources Ltd. Principal officers of these companies whose names appeared in correspondence include George Ovans, Archibald Finlayson, H.B. Adshead, Gerald C. Stuart, P. Douglas McArthur, and Richard S. Westbury.

The fonds consists of photographs of the construction and renovation of Imperial Oil refinery in Calgary (1922-1943), and of treating units at the refinery (1942-1943). Includes newsclippings of Imperial Oil activities (1922-1925), and a certificate of title for the refinery land (1925).

The fonds consists of photographs of the 1884 and 1891 stores and the 1929 extension; photographs of store interiors; and photographs of various HBC posts in Manitoba.
