The artifacts are:3 house keys, a school strap, 3 silk mantles for a kerosene lamp, 2 packages of Reckitt's bag blue dye, and embroidery scissors that came from Norway with Johanna Skare, Olga Huberdeau's mother.

Mattie kept a daily diary from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 1899 describing domestic chores, people whom she met, weather, living conditions and expenses. The members are mentioned for each of the following parties: the New Hampshire Party, Philadelphia Party, Halifax Party, French Party and Down the Peel Party. Others mentioned are the Yukon Valley Party, Mr. Butterfield's Party, Mr. Potts Party, the Chicago Party, Camsells, Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Reeve (Anglican Bishop's wife), Nagle trader Boniface Lafferty, Mr. Dunworth, Professor Bell of the Geologic Survey in Ottawa, the McKinley Barren Land Company, and the Pelican gas well.

The collection includes a photo of the horse barn on the Dominion Experimental Farm.
