The fonds consists of the by-laws, minutes, reports, membership lists, newsclippings and newsletters from Chapter 16; articles on the history of the AARN in Alberta; publications from the AARN including Nursing Legislation, the 1989 Rainbow Report which detailed the provincial government’s vision for health care in the province, and a group of photographs illustrating the medical and nursing history of Grande Prairie.

The fonds consists of records relating to the business interests of C. S. Hook & Sons, including businesses run by the company and subsequent businesses related to the company, and personal records of various members of the Hook family. The records date predominantly from the 1940s to the 1970s. Geographically, the records relate to the Peace Country of Alberta and British Columbia, particularly Grande Prairie, where the head office was located and members of the family lived, and Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, and Peace River, where the business operated branch stores. The fonds is arranged in two series: Business and Personal, each with several subseries. An order has been established by the processing archivist based primarily on the content and chronology of the records as the original order had been disrupted.

Carlisle family fonds

The fonds consists of a family photograph album containing approximately 350 photos plus 14 loose photographs of which 323 are identified in the finding aid. A CD contains the scans of the photographs and a paper copy of the album pages accompanies the album. Biographical notes are included in the fonds file.

The fonds consists of 29 photographs and one certificate. The photographs include 4 military photos of platoons and regiments from Grande Prairie during World War II, 20 photos of nurses who worked at the Grande Prairie Municipal Hospital, and 3 of nurses on a bowling team. There are also two early family photos from the Boyd and Cooke families: one of the wedding of Jen Boyd and blacksmith Bob Barley ca. 1900, and the other of a group at the Boyd sawmill in 1945. The certificate is for Donald Cooke Grade 2 Piano.

The fonds consists of Elmer Borstad's personal papers, records as alderman and mayor including pages from a large scrapbook, records and photographs of involvement with the Chamber of Commerce and Northern Alberta Development Council, a scrapbook of records (1978-79) related to his nomination as candidate for the Progressive Conservative Party and subsequent election as MLA for Grande Prairie, a scrapbook of records as chairman of the QEII Foundation and head of the MRI capital campaign (1997-1999), and records of his chairmanship on the Capital Campaign Committee for building additional student residences at GPRC. There is also a mylared copy of a full-page 1959 advertisement "marking 12 years of service to Grande Prairie & District" , a booklet "The Canol Adventure" written by Mr. Borstad, and a photograph album detailing Elmer's involvement with RCSCC Micmac Squadron Sea Cadets (1955-1966), including photographs of the first Wrenette Corps in Alberta established in Grande Prairie in 1957.

Grant family fonds

The fonds consists of certificates from family members over three generations, letters from Ada McKeage to John Grant during their courtship, photographs of the Grant children, diaries and financial records from Alice Mary Short, and miscellaneous cards and letters. Included in the collection are the records of St. Andrew's Women's Auxiliary from Gladys, Alberta, dating from 1913-1923, for whom Mrs. McKeage was the secretary.
