Amber Valley Community Association fonds

The fonds consists of reprinted newspaper articles, a list of electors for 1938 and 1958, a few unidentified photocopied pictures and 10 photographs; also the booklet "Memoirs of the Official Opening of the Amber Valley Community Centre, June 28, 1975". The photos include: W.G. and Alice Cromwell, Columbus Bowen, Bob Jamerson, and Williams and Kinamore families. The booklet "Rural Women in Focus" was printed by the Amber Valley Community Association to celebrate the United Nations 1975 International Women's Year. Included is information on Lydia Williams, Marjorie Logan, Nancy Appleby, Amber Valley pioneer women, Athabasca Art Club, Martha Edwards and Palma Lennie. Two photographs from the Athabasca Archives collection include: Georgia Toles and an unknown woman. The map is a hand drawn Amber Valley Heritage Map, 1987, showing the present and former land owners in Township 66, Range 20, W4M. As well as the names of farm families, the map locates two stores, two post offices, the school and the cemetery.

The fonds consists of materials created by the Athabasca and District Agricultural Association between 1914 and 1921 including the 1914 prize list and the 1915 memorandum of association. It also includes correspondence, minutes ,membership and prize lists, and financial statements of the Athabasca District Agricultural Society, as well as material on the Farmer's Market and Frosty Frolics(1982-1985). The blueprints pertain to the Athabasca Recreation Complex, 1971. Other subjects in this fonds include: John and Laura Keith, Teresa Jane McFetrich, Peggy McLeod(Tann).

The photographs are copies from the book and include the Athabasca-Smith Trail and Pine Creek (Amber Valley).

There is a programme for the Master Farm Family award, 1965, which was given to the Mike Dupilka family. Fonds also includes a copy of a cancelled cheque given to Josephine Dupilka for caretaking at Baptiste Lake School in 1927.
