The fonds consists of 12 photographs of early buildings and events in Athabasca. Four of the photographs are originals of photographs that are on a 1948 Athabasca High School filmstrip: Empire Day, 1913; St.Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church; Filteau's Block; and winter of 1913-14 view from across the river. Others are: Methodist Church; interior and exterior of Hudson's Bay store; original of Athabasca Landing Junior Baseball Team; Strathcona Street in 1940's; invitation to Community Christmas Tree in Parker's Hall, 1937.

The fonds consists of genealogical charts, clippings from Athabasca newspapers, and a Hudson's Bay Company service record. One photograph shows an elderly Magnus Brown, the other is a photograph of Magnus' grandson, George Magnus Wright (1910-1976).

The fonds consists of a 1922 letter from the Grosmont Municipal District regarding quarantine regulations for scarlet fever: two store receipt books for 1947-1948; and municipal tax receipts for 1955, 1956 and 1959. There are four calendars from local stores and the Aug.4, 2005 issue of Western Producers Western People which has an article on the Major family "100 Century Farm". Allan James tax receipt for 1927 is included.
