Anton Joseph Schinkinger fonds

The fonds consists of photographs of: Athabasca & District Board of Trade sign near Westlock (1948), Nick Evasiuk, pier on Tawatinaw Creek (1950s), Bob, Colin and Vince Preece; Anton (Tony) and Kurt Schinkinger, the first store and its replacement store built in 1975, Valentine (Val) Breckenridge, Riverside Recreation Area sign, 1971 parade photo and the Steve Berezan family. Tony wrote an article entitled "Reflections of the old swimming hole" and an article about his time in the navy. The artifacts are a postal scale, two photographs framed with an article from the Athabasca Echo newspaper of Aug.25, 1982 regarding the family business, and a plaque commemorating the closing of Schinkinger's Mens Wear in Feb. 1992.

The fonds consists of materials created by the Athabasca and District Civil Defence Unit between 1957 and 1973. The fonds consists of minutes of meetings of Athabasca and District Civil Defense Unit, financial statements, correspondence, notes, brochures and general information about civil defense programs. The photograph is of a provincial Civil Defence meeting. Athabasca's representatives are Steve Berezan and Harry Bayliss.

There are 2 copies of the Sept.21 2001 photo of citizens on the Town Common. Also included is a 1956-60, 1994, and 2005 Business Directory. The photographs include the 1992 Huron-Bruce Voyageurs, and photographs of town buildings. The artifacts include 6 metal dies used to create Athabasca Trade Dollars for the years 1978, 1979, 1981, 1982 and 1985.

The fonds consists of materials created or collected by Ernst Feuereisen of Pelican Portage and dating from 1922 to [1977]. The fonds consists of trapping and hunting licenses, part of a 1922 map of Alberta,and photographs of scenes, people and places on the Athabasca River including Upper Wells. Some of the people are: Ernst Feuereisen, Joe Siemoni, Mr.Jones, Frank and George Senz, Gordon and Jim Carruthers, Henry Goegler (1884-1955), Joe Larson, Hans Birkigt, John and George Pederson, Bruno and Elsie Goetsch, Joe Laflamme, Ed Gambler, Rose Gambler, Kurt George (Dick) Naumann (1901-1978) and ? Kosloff. There is a photo of Ernst on the ship Thuringia out of Hamburg.

Jean Helbrecht fonds

The fonds consists of a photograph of Alphonse Senz (1915-1945) who was KIA in Germany, his last letters and death notification; and photographs of five houses in the Parkhurst District : Gosselin, Charles Lynch, the Demonstration Farm, Charles Gahall and Eugene Sale houses. The map is a 1922 contour and trail map of the Parkhurst District Range 21 and 22 W4M. There are also 9 photographs of Parkhurst School taken from c.1917 to 1947 and a photograph of railway ties piled at the siding in Athabasca.

Royal Canadian Legion Athabasca Branch No. 103 fonds

The fonds consists of a history of the Athabasca Legion Branch from 1920 to 1985, a 1987 Remembrance Day program, and the 1991 Advocate Newspaper tribute to the Legion. There are also appreciation certificates and plaques thanking the Legion for donations made to specific organizations such as Scouts Canada, Girl Guides of Canada, Squadron #230 of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, Athabasca Minor Ball, Extendicare, Minor Hockey, the Athabasca Figure Skating Club, the Athabasca General & Auxiliary Hospital, and the Shriner's Hospitals for Crippled Children. The photograph shows the Memorial Hall and the cenotaph.
