Nicola Valley Museum and Archives
The Nicola Valley Museum and Archives was established in 1976 in Merritt and is operated by the Nicola Valley Museum Archives Association. The museum acquires artifacts, archival records and historical reference material relating to Merritt and the Nicola Valley.
The holdings relate to the development and settlement of the Nicola Valley area. Holdings include: extensive photograph collection, manuscript collection (letters, diaries, etc.), aural histories, clippings files, local newspapers, maps, requisition and water records, City of Merritt records, McQueen records, Teit papers, Douglas Lake (Woolliams) Nicola Stock Farm records, and an extensive reference library.
