Northern British Columbia Archives at the University of Northern British Columbia
The Northern BC Archives & Special Collections operates under the terms of a dualistic mandate: 1) to serve the historical, administrative, legal and teaching needs of the University of Northern British Columbia; and 2) to acquire, preserve and provide access to materials which document the history and culture of Northern British Columbia. As such the NBCA’s specific areas of collection include: all documents related to the administration of the university, its programs, committees, research units, student services and activities, and special events. As well as collecting the private papers of individuals and organizations which relate directly or indirectly to either the University or its various research areas such as: primary resource industries, First Nations Peoples, European settlement, natural history and local history of northern British Columbia.
