Olympic Hall of Fame and Museum
In 1978 the International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded the XIV Olympic Winter Games to the city of Sarajevo, Yugoslavia (which became the capital of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1991). The Games were held in February 1984 and were administered by a government-sponsored body, the Organizing Committee of the XIV Olympic Winter Games Yugoslavia - Sarajevo 1984 (Organizacioni komitet XIV zimske olimpijske igre Jugoslavija - Sarajevo 1984). The Sarajevo collection was assembled by the Olympic Hall of Fame and Museum from several donations whch had not been identified by specific accession numbers. The donors of the materials include: Sandra Leblanc, Chair of Team '88 for OCO '88 who later became Chair of the Olympic Hall of Fame and Museum Board; Tom West, who was present at at the 1984 Olympic Winter Games

The purpose of the Archives is to identify, acquire, preserve and make accessible archival material in the form of corporate and private records documenting the functions, history, and activities of CODA, sport governing bodies which relate to the mandate of CODA and the Olympic movement. The holdings include personal and business correspondence, research materials, published materials, photographs, audio-visual materials and artifacts.
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (except statutory holidays). Appointment preferred.
