Fonds consists of manuscript and typescript copies of Adele Wiseman's work, clippings and reviews pertaining to her books, personal and business correspondence, financial records, photographs, subject files and manuscripts of work by others and other material pertaining to her career as a writer, teacher and social worker. Fonds consists of drawings, watercolours and designs of A. H. Howard produced in Toronto between 1880 and 1914, especially in the sketchbooks in which Howard drew Ontario landscapes and towns, flowers, trees, human figures, factory interiors and other subjects. Similar drawings and watercolours are contained in two albums and a portfolio. Also included are examples of his decorative and calligraphic work from illuminated presentation addresses, certificates, bookplates and other materials.

Fonds consists of copies of published and unpublished papers, journal articles, conference papers and reviews written by Lessem, course material, a copy of his M.Litt thesis, "The Style and Structure of Frescobaldi's Keyboard Ricercari and Fantasias", and other material that documents his career as an academic.

The fonds documents Andrew Tomcik's career as a professor, graphics designer and consultant. It includes correspondence, writings, design examples, design work and posters created by Tomcik for corporate clients and York University, such as silkscreen and lithographic pieces. Also included are prints, notes, clippings, conference material, student projects, teaching files for his history of design course, design books and magazines.

Fonds consists of business records of The Isaacs Gallery (TIG) (1942-1991), consisting of correspondence, exhibition catalogues, mailings and financial records (1984-1986); artist files (1961-1988), consisting of correspondence, biographical sketches, press clippings, and other material relating to artists represented by Isaacs (e.g., Dennis Burton, Graham Coughtry, William Kurelek, Michael Snow and Joyce Wieland) and some who were not represented by him; artist portfolio files (1955-1988), consisting of press clippings and catalogues of their works; and promotional files (ca. 1960-1989) relating to the Isaacs Gallery.

The fonds consists of material that documents Godard's professorial career and includes thesis advisory files, general correspondence, letters of recommendation, lecture notes, conference material, minutes and reports related to various departments and committees that she was involved with and additional material related to her work with the Canadian Federation of Humanities and to her work as editor of the "Bibliography of feminist criticism," "Gynocritics" among other publications. It also includes notes and drafts of her own writing including her undergraduate and graduate research, articles, book reviews, conference papers, drafts of her translations and a collection of chap books and broadsheets accumulated over the course of her career.

The fonds documents Bernard Ostry's education and personal life as well as his activities as public servant and author for the period 1940-1990.

The fonds mainly documents bill bissett's activities as poet, visual artist, musician, and editor of Blewointment Press. The fonds consists of material that documents Pittman's work in film and television and includes scripts, storyboards, correspondence, financial records, publicity material, shooting schedules, edit sheets, research material, grant applications and other related material. It includes photographs taken during the production of a number of his films and audio-visual records in various formats that document the various stages in the making of film and television productions with which Pittman was involved. There is considerable material relating in particular to "Shattered City". The fonds also includes a series of audio recordings of interviews conducted by Pittman for "Saturday Night at the Movies" with film directors including Bernardo Bertolucci, Robert Altman, and Norman McLaren among others.

Fonds consists of more than 60 letters, newsletters, poems, and greeting cards written by Margaret Laurence to Ian and Sandy Cameron, as well as a copy of Laurence's will. The correspondence discusses Laurence's work as a writing instructor and speaker at the University of Toronto, her relationship with other Canadian writers and Clara Thomas, her move from Toronto to Lakefield, and her involvement with the Writers' Union of Canada conference in Ottawa in November 1973. Laurence comments extensively on her own works and her efforts to encourage other writers (including Ian Cameron), her efforts to produce a recording of songs with her lyrics and Cameron's musical score to accompany "The diviners," the film contract based on this novel, and her elation at winning the Molson Prize in 1975. The correspondence also discusses her divorce from Jack Laurence, her relationship with her children, and her views on social and generational change. The correspondence is accompanied by nine vinyl recordings given by Laurence to the Camerons that feature European classical music, African palm wine music, and Ghanian highlife music. The fonds also contains five letters from John Ruskin, the Victorian writer and art critic, to Kate Towney and Arbuthnot Cameron, 1865-1867, regarding Towney's marriage and financial affairs, mineral collecting, and ideas from Ruskin's book, "Modern painters." These letters are accompanied by notes and transcripts, as well as a letter written in 1907 regarding the Ruskin correspondence.
