Whistler Museum and Archives
The Whistler Museum and Archives Society was incorporated in 1986 and opened the Whistler Museum and Archives in 1986. The museum acquires artifacts, archival records, and historical reference material relating to the area now within the boundary of the Resort Municipality of Whistler, including the community formerly known as Alta Lake.
The holdings relate to the development and settlement of the Resort Municipality of Whistler and the Valley area. The area encompasses the northern tip of Green Lake to the boundary of Brandywine Provincial Park. References are made to surrounding areas such as: Pinecrest, Black Tusk, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Pemberton, Squamish, and Lillooet. Holdings include: extensive photograph collection, manuscript collection (letters, memoirs, minutes, manuals, project studies and proposals), oral histories, video recordings, posters, postcards, information files (contain copies of brochures, articles, essays, clippings, and ephemera), pamphlets, local newspapers, maps, and a reference library.

Archives Hours: Wednesday-Sunday, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm (by appointment only).
Museum Hours: Daily, 11:00 am - 5 pm.
